Flooring installation: Kavco Ltd Offices

This recent project was a perfect example of our ability to handle different flooring types and materials in one seamless job. It was all about creating two distinct, high-quality finishes in one go!

The main area involved a brilliant combination of carpet tiles: a total of 480 tiles of Desso Essence Maze - 3821 were installed alongside 80 tiles of Desso Essence - 9975. This blend created a smart, zoned look. Our team performed a flawless Specialist Fitting - Straight Lay Carpet Tiles over 61 square metres, using 2 bottles of Bostik FIX A320 Tack and supplementing it with 2 spray cans of Sticky Stuff Tackifier for a fast, firm, and clean installation.

In the high-traffic or wet areas, we installed 40 square metres of the excellent Forbo Surestep Balance - 173062 Silt safety vinyl. Our Specialist Fitting - Straight Lay Vinyl was secured with 1 tub of Bostik STIX A300 Multi Floor (12kg) and sealed perfectly with 1 pack of Forbo Weld Rod and 1 roll of Bostik Roll Adhesive Tape.

Before any of that went down, our floor preparation team ensured a perfect base across the vinyl area:

• Subfloor Full Screed and Subfloor Prime before screed were executed across 17 square metres to get the new area ready.

• We used 5 packs of Bostik Screedmaster SL C540 Flow and 1 bottle of Bostik Screedmaster A526 Universal Primer (5kg) to create a flawless, level base.

• An Ardex Feather Finish (11kg) bag was used to smooth out any final bumps.

To transition smoothly between the carpet and vinyl, we installed a 25m coil of Quantum QT200 Flexible PVC Bevel Transition Strip - Black. It's the small details like this that prove our fitters deliver a truly professional, end-to-end service on every square metre.
