When a commercial interiors client approached DCT UK for one of their largest projects, we pulled together the right products, deliveries, and installation management to get the job done. The result: a 900m² flooring installation across a commercial premises in Knowlhill, Milton Keynes.

The Products

Balsan Matrix carpet tiles were specified for the main areas. A trusted staple in commercial interiors, Balsan Matrix delivers excellent durability and a clean professional finish, supplied in the standard 50×50cm format for easy installation and future maintenance.

For areas requiring enhanced slip resistance, we supplied Polyflor Polysafe Standard PUR safety vinyl. It meets HSE guidelines for wet and dry slip resistance and features a PUR surface treatment that makes it easy to clean and maintain — ideal for corridors and high-traffic transitional spaces.

Subfloor preparation was handled using Pennine QT200 Quick Trowel levelling compound, providing the flat, stable base needed to ensure both the carpet tiles and vinyl perform over the long term.

The Installation

DCT UK's managed installation service coordinated the full programme — including timed pallet deliveries to keep materials arriving on schedule, phased installation across several weeks, and waste management throughout. The project ran from October to December, with logistics carefully sequenced to keep things moving without disruption.

The Outcome

900m² of high-performance commercial flooring, delivered on time and to spec. Balsan Matrix brings comfort and acoustics to the office areas, while Polysafe Standard PUR handles the zones that demand more. Together, they create a space built to perform for years to come.
