Flooring installation: Flying Smart Offices

This recent project was a textbook example of a full-service flooring overhaul. We didn't just lay new carpet tiles; we managed the entire process, including full removal of the old floor and the complete refurbishment of the subfloor.

The finished floor looks stunning, thanks to a dynamic combination of 560 tiles of Forbo Tessera Struktur 1 - 3700 MÅNE and 180 tiles of Forbo Tessera Struktur 1 - 3701 STEN. This mixed design added visual interest to the space. For the installation, we secured the tiles using a main 25kg bottle of Bostik FIX A320 Tack and 3 spray cans of Sticky Stuff Tackifier for fast and lasting adhesion.

The most crucial part of this job was the expert subfloor preparation across 39 square metres:

• Uplift & Dispose: We first provided Specialist Fitting - Uplift, Fit & Dispose Carpet across 165 square metres to clear the deck entirely.

• Full Screed: The area then received a total Subfloor Full Screed, preceded by a Subfloor Prime before screed service. We deployed 12 packs of Bostik Screedmaster SL C540 Flow and 1 bottle of Bostik Screedmaster A526 Universal Primer (5kg) to create a flawless foundation.

• The Final Polish: For a perfectly smooth finish ready for the new tiles, we used 2 bags of Ardex Feather Finish (11kg) and 1 bag of Ardex ArduRapid A45 (11kg) for rapid curing where needed.

From the complex removal process to the detailed subfloor engineering, this project shows that we take the underlying structure just as seriously as the stylish finish on top. A great floor is 100% preparation and 100% fitting!
