Offices in North Tyneside

A company came to us looking for new carpet tiles for their offices in North Tyneside. The enquiry started as a straightforward supply order, but once we understood the space, we saw the chance to give them something more considered than a single plain colour across the floor.

Our in-house designer drew up two layout options from the client's floor plan, each using two complementary colours to zone the space and add some character. The team chose their favourite, and we went from a supply-only order to a full design, uplift and fit service.

The finished floor uses Desso Recharge carpet tiles in two tones, 7945 and 9098, laid to the agreed design across around 101m². Recharge is a hard-wearing commercial tile, and pairing two shades of the same range keeps the look coordinated while still defining different areas of the office.

The old carpet tiles were taken up, stacked on a pallet and collected by our recycling partner ReStart, so they were diverted from landfill instead of being left for the client to deal with. The new tiles were then laid with tackifier, so individual tiles can be lifted and replaced in future if needed.

The main fit was completed over two days in early November 2025, with a short return visit the following week to finish the remaining area. Splitting the work kept disruption to the office to a minimum.

It's a good example of how a simple tile order can become something better: a bit of design input, a clear plan and one team handling everything from uplift and recycling to the final tile.
