Sunninghill Prep School

This project was a brilliant showcase of our team's versatility, dealing with different flooring types and plenty of careful preparation. We didn't just slap the floor down; we made sure it was absolutely perfect from the ground up!

The fitting involved two main areas: A spacious 100 square metres of Nouveau Endurance - Rock Steady carpet tiles (that's 440 tiles laid perfectly straight), and a separate 15 square metres of heavy-duty Altro Walkway - Fog vinyl.

Before the flooring went down, our fitters were busy with specialist subfloor prep across the different zones:

• Subfloor Full Screed and Subfloor Prime before screed across 15 square metres to create a flawless new base.

• 4 packs of Bostik Screedmaster SL C540 Flow and a bottle of Bostik Screedmaster A526 Universal Primer (5kg) were used to manage this screeding like pros.

• We then applied a Subfloor Feather finish over a total of 50 square metres using an Ardex Feather Finish (11kg) bag for a silky-smooth surface.

• And for the really tricky bits, we had 113 (units) of Specialist Fitting - Mech Subfloor Prep and even deployed the Sanding Machine to ensure not a single bump was left behind!

The actual fitting included Specialist Fitting - Straight Lay Carpet Tiles (using 3 bottles of Bostik FIX A320 Tack) and Specialist Fitting - Straight Lay Vinyl (secured with 1 tub of Bostik STIX A300 Multi Floor and Bostik Roll Adhesive Tape). Finally, we managed the perfect, safe transition between the two floorings with a 25m coil of Quantum QT450/25 Flexible PVC Bevel Transition Strip - Black.
