Newcourt Place

Pro Buildbuild Construction Group brought us in to handle the flooring on their refurbishment in Borehamwood. The brief covered 15 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, with every bedroom switching from carpet to vinyl to match the bathrooms. That gives the building a consistent hard floor throughout that is quick to clean and stands up to daily use.

Rather than taking the whole building out of action at once, the work was planned in small batches of rooms. Each batch started with subfloor preparation: our team primed the floor and laid a full screed to give a smooth, level base, since any lumps or dips underneath will show through vinyl. Once the screed was ready, we returned to fit the vinyl, usually completing a bedroom and its bathroom together in a single day.

In the bathrooms, the vinyl was finished with cap and cove skirting, turned up the wall to form a sealed, watertight edge with no corner joint for water or dirt to collect in. Our fitters also took out and refitted each toilet, so the vinyl runs continuously underneath rather than being cut around the base. That's the kind of detail that keeps a wet room hygienic and looking good for longer.

The project ran in phases from August through to the autumn, working alongside the main contractor's programme, and was completed at the end of October 2025.

For us, this is a good example of working as a flooring partner on a larger build: consistent preparation, a reliable finish in every room, and a schedule that fits around the rest of the site.
