Mosaic Clubhouse

Mosaic Clubhouse is a busy, well-used community space, and its floors had definitely seen plenty of life. The clubhouse asked us to replace worn flooring across three rooms: two areas that needed a hard-wearing, hygienic finish, and one room where carpet tiles made more sense for comfort and acoustics.

The job started with the uplift. Our team removed the old vinyl and carpet tiles back to the concrete subfloor, and the old carpet tiles were palletised on site and taken away for recycling rather than sent to landfill.

In the two vinyl rooms, around 196m² in total, the subfloor was primed and then given a full screed with Bostik SLC540 Flow to create a flat, smooth base. On top of that we laid Altro safety sheet vinyl, bonded with Bostik A300 and heat-welded at the seams with matching weld rod. We then formed just over 100 linear metres of cap and cove skirting, turning the vinyl up the wall so there is no gap at the edge for dirt and moisture to collect. It's a detail that makes a real difference in spaces that need to be cleaned often and kept looking tidy.

In the carpet tile room, we prepared the subfloor by feathering out uneven areas, then laid new carpet tiles on A320 tackifier. That keeps the tiles firmly in place but means individual tiles can be lifted and swapped out in future if one gets damaged or stained, which is ideal for a space that sees a lot of foot traffic.

The installation took place in autumn 2025, with the project fully signed off in early October. Fitting was done during normal working hours and planned room by room, so the clubhouse could keep its doors open while the work went on around it.
