NOTE UK Offices

We recently completed an extensive commercial flooring installation for NOTE UK at their offices in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire — a large-scale project spanning approximately 430m².

NOTE UK is a contract electronics manufacturer, so the brief called for flooring that could stand up to a genuinely busy working office while still looking sharp for visitors and clients passing through. The chosen product was Nouveau Elements II in Deep Sea — a hard-wearing, richly coloured carpet tile built for exactly that kind of high-traffic commercial environment. Quantum QT450/25 flexible PVC bevel transition strips in black were fitted throughout to manage clean, safe transitions between areas and finish every edge properly.

A project of this scale lives or dies on what's underneath the finish. Our team carried out extensive subfloor preparation across the full footprint, including mechanical subfloor prep and levelling with Ardex Feather Finish, to guarantee a smooth, even base before a single tile went down. Adhesion was handled with Bostik FIX A320 Tack and Sticky Stuff Tackifier Carpet Tile Spray Adhesive, chosen to suit the varying substrate conditions found across the site, with Bostik roll adhesive tape used for the detail work.

The scope didn't stop at the flooring itself. Our specialist fitting team uplifted and removed the existing floor covering using mechanical floor-stripping equipment, laid the new carpet tiles in a straight-lay pattern throughout the working areas, and carefully fitted stairs and nosings to match — no small task on a site this size. Delivery and fitting were fully managed by DCTUK from start to finish, and the whole job was signed off and completed within a matter of days, taking the entire project off NOTE UK's plate.
