When Sovereign Snooker & Pool Club approached DCTUK, they needed a flooring partner who could handle a full carpet refurbishment across their busy Farnborough venue with minimal disruption. The result was a project spanning roughly 350m².
The Brief
Sovereign Snooker & Pool Club is based at Sovereign House in North Camp, Farnborough. As a working leisure venue combining bar, office and games-hall space, the club needed a hard-wearing carpet that could stand up to constant footfall around the tables and social areas while still looking sharp for members and visitors.
The Product
For the main flooring, we specified Nouveau Connections 2.0 carpet tiles in Smoke Grey — a heavy-contract tile built for exactly this kind of high-traffic commercial setting. Around 385m² was laid across the venue, chosen for durability, easy maintenance and an understated colourway that suits the club's interior. The job was finished with chrome self-adhesive coverstrips for clean transitions between areas, and sit-on-skirt trims for a neat edge throughout.
The Installation
This was no simple lay-and-go job. Our specialist fitting team carried out a full uplift, fit and disposal of the existing carpet across roughly 350m² of floor, using tackifier spray adhesive, adhesive tape and contact adhesive to secure tiles and skirting depending on substrate and area. Levelling compound was used during subfloor prep to ensure the new tiles sat flat and true. Given the scale of the space, the team booked additional day-rate fitting time to keep the project moving and get the club back up and running with minimal downtime.
The Result
From enquiry to completed installation, the Sovereign House project came together quickly and smoothly — a testament to what's possible when product selection, preparation and specialist fitting are handled end-to-end by one team.
