140 Brompton Road

FSQ Interiors was fitting out a new office at 140 Brompton Road in Knightsbridge and needed the flooring turned round quickly. When our team visited, the space was a bare raised access floor with the ceilings still open. The client wanted the floor to do two jobs: warm, timber-look herringbone through the walkways, boardroom and offices, and soft carpet tiles for the open-plan desk areas.

For the timber look, we chose Forbo Allura 55 Flex in Blond Timber, laid in herringbone. Herringbone over raised access panels needs careful preparation, so the team prepared the panels first and then set out the pattern. The result is a warm herringbone "path" that runs from the entrance, between the desk areas and into the glass-walled boardroom. It's the first thing you notice when you walk in.

In the open-plan areas we fitted Nouveau Ice Cream carpet tiles in Pistachio, from our own Nouveau collection, laid straight. The soft, mottled grey-green sits well next to the blond timber. The carpet and the herringbone meet in clean, crisp lines either side of the walkway, which helps define each zone without walls.

In total, the team fitted around 136m² of herringbone LVT and 134m² of carpet tiles. Furniture was already on site, so the fit worked around it, and the main install was done in five days, from 12 to 17 June 2025. Our team also returned for a follow-up visit later in the year.

It's a good example of the commercial work we love: a tight timeline, a tricky subfloor and a design-led fit-out partner. Ella from our London showroom also visited the finished office, so you can see the floor for yourself in the project video.
