Hope Church Liverpool

Hope Church Kensington meets in a large hall on Coleridge Street, in the Kensington area of Liverpool. It's a busy space, used for services, groups and community events through the week. The church wanted a floor that could take all that footfall and still look smart, without the hall being out of action for long.

When our fitting team arrived, the old floor had already been taken up. What was left was a patchy, stained subfloor with years of old adhesive marks. The team cleaned and prepared the whole area first, so the new floor would sit flat and stay put.

For the new floor, the church chose Nouveau Basics carpet tiles from our own Nouveau collection. It's a hard-wearing loop pile tile, and the dark charcoal shade works well with the hall's white walls and dark grey dado band. It also hides the everyday wear of a well-used community space. The tiles were laid straight across the hall, with a neat transition strip at the doorway where the carpet meets the next floor.

In total, the team fitted 141m² of carpet tiles in a single day, on 22 August 2025. The site was ready and all the materials were already on site when our fitters arrived, so they could get straight to work. That meant the hall was back in use with barely any disruption to the church's week.

It's exactly the kind of community project we love: a busy space, a quick turnaround and a floor that makes the room feel brand new. The church group was back using the hall soon after, and it looks the part.
