Office in Highgate

Klimstar Ltd came to us needing a hard-wearing, specialist floor for an area of roughly 30m² at a property in Highgate, North London. It was a compact job on paper, but rubber flooring is unforgiving of anything less than a perfectly prepared base, so getting the details right from the start mattered.

We began with a site survey in July 2025 and used our free design service to map out the area against the client's plan. With the specified product confirmed, we quantified the job around Noraplan rubber tiles, a premium, dense rubber floor that's built to take heavy daily use while staying comfortable and easy to maintain.

The existing subfloor was screed and unpainted, which gave us a good starting point, but rubber shows every dip and ridge underneath it. Our fitting team spent a dedicated session sanding and screeding the base, using Bostik Flow levelling compound over Bostik universal primer to create a smooth, sound surface ready for the new floor.

With the subfloor prepared, the Noraplan tiles were laid straight across the area and bonded with Bostik A800 adhesive, a combination chosen to give a secure, long-lasting fix. Heating was on in the building during the install, helping both the adhesive and the flooring settle under the right conditions, and with no furniture to work around, the team could focus entirely on a clean, accurate lay.

The main installation took place in late September 2025, and our team returned in early October to finish off, with the project signed off as complete on 7 October. Splitting the work this way allowed the levelling compound to cure properly before the final stage, rather than rushing a floor that needs to last.
