Office in Farnham

Todd Doors asked us to floor their premises in Farnham. They wanted two finishes: a smart, hard-wearing LVT for the busier areas and the staircase, and carpet tiles for a quieter, more comfortable feel elsewhere in the building.

This was a fresh fit, so there was no old flooring to strip out, and our team could start straight on the subfloor. Most of the existing screed was in good condition and needed only a feather finish across around 50m² to smooth out small dips and marks. One area of about 20m² needed more work, so we primed it and laid a new smoothing screed to give a flat, solid base.

We then laid around 67m² of Amtico LVT, glued down for a durable finish that's easy to keep clean in a working business. The same Amtico finish carries up the stairs, where we fitted 13 matching Amtico stair nosings so every step has a clean, defined edge and good grip underfoot. In the rest of the building we laid around 92m² of carpet tiles, which add warmth and help keep noise down.

The bulk of the installation was done over two days in mid-September 2025, with a short return visit in early October to finish the remaining work. Splitting the job like this meant the building was never out of action for long.

It's a good example of the mixed commercial fits we do every week: matching the right floor to each area of a building, getting the subfloor right first, and finishing details like stair nosing properly.
