Carpet tiles and Karndean Cubix LVT fitted for Crofton Interiors at a Berkeley Homes project office, laid over raised access floor and ply.
Fit-out specialists Crofton Interiors asked us to supply and install the flooring for a Berkeley Homes project office , London. The brief covered two rooms on a single floor, with a mix of soft and hard flooring to suit how each space would be used.
After a site survey in July 2025, the specification was confirmed: 66m² of Millennium Nxt Gen carpet tiles and 30m² of Karndean Cubix LVT in KAL02. It’s a combination we see a lot in commercial offices: carpet tiles bring comfort and acoustic softening, while LVT gives a hard-wearing, easy-clean surface.
The office sat on a raised access floor and plywood, so each product needed the right fixing for the base. The carpet tiles went down with Bostik A320 and a tackifier, keeping them secure while still allowing individual tiles to be lifted for access to the services below. The Karndean LVT was bonded with Karndean Universal adhesive over a ply base, which gives vinyl the smooth, stable surface it needs for a clean finish. Both products were laid straight.
Our fitting team carried out the main install in early September 2025, with heating on in the building and no furniture to work around. We returned in early October to finish off, and the project was signed off as complete in mid-October.
