About Burmatex Surface Story
Where sharp geometric lines meet soft, blurred edges. Burmatex Surface Story is a multilevel loop carpet tile that layers crisp linework over graduated, almost weathered texture - structured enough for a boardroom, relaxed enough for a breakout space.
There are 12 colourways to choose from, running from pale, airy Novella and warm Fable through to deep Umber and inky Flux, so you can keep things calm and neutral or build in some contrast between zones.
It's officially carbon neutral, with a GWP of just 3.71 kg CO2e per m² and 72.7% total recycled content. The pile is Universal Fibers Thrive, a carbon negative recycled yarn, sitting on Burmatex's BioBase recycled backing.
It performs as well as it looks: a 24dB acoustic rating to take the edge off footfall noise, a Bfl-s1 fire rating and a Class 33 heavy commercial wear rating, all backed by a 15 year warranty.
Each tile is 50cm x 50cm and 7.5mm thick, supplied 20 to a box (5m²). It's made in West Yorkshire, suits continuous castor chair use and is compatible with underfloor heating.
