Flooring installation: Todd Doors

When Todd Doors needed the second-floor office space at their Dominion Road site in Bournemouth re-floored, there was one condition: don't get in the way of the working day. So DCTUK's specialist fitting team scheduled the whole install out of hours.

The old 600 x 600mm carpet tiles were uplifted and taken away for disposal and recycling, and the chipboard subfloor was checked and prepped with Ardex Feather Finish levelling compound to make sure it was ready for the new tiles. Our fitters also moved furniture out of the way and back again once the floor was down, so there was nothing left to sort out when the office reopened.

New Interface Common Ground carpet tiles went down across the office floor in a straight lay — a durable, business-ready choice with a lower environmental footprint, well suited to a working space that needs to look sharp for years to come.

The main fit went in over a single out-of-hours visit in July, with a short return visit in September to tie up a couple of final details before sign-off. No stairs, no access issues, no disruption — just a fast, tidy turnaround around a live workplace.
