About Forbo Modul'up 19dB Material
Concrete, cement and stone, without the hard acoustics. Modul'up 19dB Material covers 29 designs, from Urban Concrete's balance of concrete and soft stone to the textile feel of New Nairobi and o
n-trend Travertine.
Underneath, it's Forbo's best-performing acoustic sheet vinyl: a heterogeneous construction delivering 19dB impact sound reduction and a Class A in-room acoustic rating, so footsteps stay put rather than travelling to the floor below.
The XtremPUR surface is double-cured (laser + UV) for excellent stain and chemical resistance, needs no wax or polish, and has a matt finish that keeps the designs looking realistic. It's R10 slip rated too.
It comes in 2m wide rolls (approx. 25m long), 3.45mm thick with a 0.7mm wear layer - rated Class 34 heavy commercial and Class 42 industrial, Bfl-s1 fire rated and fine with castor chairs.
The clever bit is the installation. Modul'up is fully loose laid with no adhesive - just tape under the seams, which are then hot welded - so rooms can be back in use straight away, and the floor lifts out quickly when it's time for a change.
With 20% recycled content and a footprint of 5.93kg CO2e/m², it's a sensible pick for schools, healthcare, offices and anywhere noise and downtime both matter. Delivery is 5-6 working days.
