Here’s F. Ball F3, the old-school, water-based glue that’s been sticking carpets down for over 50 years — because it just works.

It grabs fast, holds strong, and doesn’t let go. Perfect for most textile floorings: fibre-bonded carpets, hessian, felt, rubber-backed stuff, or even cork tiles (up to 3.2 mm thick if you’re feeling fancy).

It won’t rot or go manky over time, even with underfloor heating, so your floor stays stuck no matter how toasty it gets.

You can use it on concrete, screeds, plywood, chipboard, or hardboard — just make sure it’s dry, smooth, and solid. If your surface is too smooth, you might want a quick skim coat first.

Spread it with a 2 × 6 mm V-notched trowel, and you’ll cover about 3 m² per litre. You’ve got up to 15 minutes to lay your carpet before it starts to grab — so don’t dawdle.

It’s even approved for use on ships, so if it can handle the sea, your living room’s no problem. Basically, F. Ball F3 is the reliable mate you call when you need things to just stick.
