As I always say, there’s nothing we love more than a happy customer. Usually because this puts the boss in a good mood and we get treated to Starbucks but mainly because that’s what we’re here to do - put a big smile on your face by finding the flooring solution that ticks boxes you didn’t even know needed ticking to begin with. What we love even more than a happy customer is a happy customer who has managed to put their own personal stamp on a tile arrangement and really make it their own. So, when the image below hit our inbox, we were pretty chuffed to say the least…
This installation was completed by RJB Builders for the North Herts Contact centre in Letchworth. The first phase of the project was to convert four separate offices into a new open plan space. This meant that a hardwearing tile fit for use with high levels of traffic was required and Rob told us that he had used Burmatex carpet tiles before so knew it was a brand his team could rely on. He felt that the Tivoli range offered the extensive choice of colour that his clients were after and felt that DCTUK, yours truly, offered the best service to deliver the goods.
What you’re seeing here is a unique and creative installation using 3 different colours from the diverse range - Key West Blue, St Lucia Night and Bermuda Lime. (Clashing colours are all the rage this season, didn’t you know?) The first two were installed adjacently using the chequerboard method to create depth, dimension and a variety of shade. This is a great way to break up anonymity in a vast expanse of space such as contact centres like this one and other large commercial interiors. The strip of green around the edge of the room is the perfect way to demonstrate direction and add a touch of attitude without having to disrupt the area with railings, pillars of barriers.
Good work, Rob and co - we love your chequerboard creation! Shop the look here.
