So, today was the day I officially joined the DCTUK family and was presented with the formal title of Interior Design and Product Owner Executive. How important do I sound hey? In all honesty, I didn't know much about the world of carpet tiles before I started here but after looking through the company website I am amazed at how much there is to know. But fellow carpet tile novices, do not worry, I am here to open your eyes to this brilliant, cost effective, product.
First things first, let me just say… Wood-effect carpet planks. Who knew you could get carpet in plank form? Not Me! Forbo Flotex Wood-effect Carpet Planks and Nouveau Vintage Planks really caught my eye as they are such innovate products that are a great alternative to real wood at a fraction of the cost. They possess underfoot comfort and warmth and they do not scratch and chip like real wood floors. However, what I love most about these products is that they are totally quirky and what interior design fanatic doesn't love a quirky product? Both carpet planks come in various patterns and shades and would be the perfect key to unlocking many interior styles such as industrial luxe or modern bohemian.
Continuing with the quirky theme, Interface Palette2000 is a product that is sure to bring some life to any space. @davidjunelouf, on Instagram, shows us how creative you can get with carpet tiles with this stunning, and completely unique, geometric pattern (image shown below). I have carpet tile envy with this one! Interface Palette2000 comes in over 40 colourways so there is sure to be a shade that brings out your funky side. To put the icing on top of the cake, these tiles are also easy to clean and maintain and come with a 7 year guarantee. Wonderful!
HouseBeautiful identified Ombre as being a hot interior trend this Spring and I was very pleased to find a product perfect for just that. Milliken Laylines - Transitions is a two-tone carpet tile that can be paired with both Milliken Laylines - Brights and Neutrals to create a pleasing ombre look. The Transitions tile comes in 16 different colourways so whether you want to go bold with Zing or be a bit subtler with Maize we have you covered. These 3 products are also a good way to create zones in a space, such as meeting and dining areas, without creating physical barriers.
