By installing this carpet flooring in the hallway over a span of approximately 6 footsteps, it’s possible to catch up to 80% of all incoming dirt before it hits the main floor.

Mohawk Step Up creates a protective barrier between the exterior and an inside floor. From hospitals to offices and everything in between, with Step Up in the entryway, your building is ready for any number of visitors and the lifespan of the floors will increase. All you need is a space of about 3 to 5 meters of Step Up – enough to cover about 6 footsteps. That will take care of up to 80% of potentially damaging dirt coming in.

Since Step Up prevents dirt from reaching the main floor in an office, hotel or restaurant – or wherever else it is installed – it means that spaces remain clean for longer. As a result, Step Up saves precious time and money, since it cuts cleaning to a minimum.

Like all Mohawk Commercial carpet tiles, the yarn used in Step Up consists of up to 30% recycled materials. And even better: once Step Up reaches the end of its lifecycle, its backing is also 100% recyclable.

EcoFlex NXT is a polyolefin carpet tile backing that is up to 25% lighter than similar competitive products, making it easier to install and less expensive to ship. It also incorporates a minimum of 35% pre-consumer recycled content. The backing is a showpiece of sustainable design.
