From 12th April 2021, lockdown restrictions were changed in England to allow for hospitality venues to open their outdoor seating areas for people to eat and drink outside, under the rule of 6 and with table service only. To help you decide where to go in Liverpool for a good drink, cocktail or meal, we have made a list of the best venues in the city that have outdoor seating areas, beers gardens and rooftops for you to enjoy! We know how hard it can be searching and booking good places especially when not everything is open, so we've got you covered, keep reading! 

1. Baltic Market

If you're a fellow scouser then of course you all know about the Baltic Market, the place where the Scouse prins go for their fancy gins. However if you're not from Liverpool, then the Baltic is a cool place full of local independent business's selling all different types of drinks and cusines, it's great if you want to try unique food! 

There’s no booking system at The Baltic Market so just turn up and they’ll get you seated as soon as possible! 

2. Buyers Club

Buyers Club have a gorge outdoor seating area perfect for enjoying a few drinks and beautiful food in the sun (or rain).

3. Bacaro

Did you know that Bacaro has a new outdoor seating area? It's the perfect place for people-watching and Italian tapas! 

4. Free State Kitchen

Free State Kitchen’s Garden is the perfect place to soak up some sun and enjoy a burger with your friends. Book in early so you don't miss out on this hidden gem!

5. Boujee Restaurant & Bar

The newly launched Boujee bar has now launced 'Boujee in the Park', using Liverpool One's outdoor area to create a dining and drinking area. The area is on a first come, first serve basis, open 7 days a week, 12pm – 9pm. 

6. The Club House

Another one in the popular Liverpool One zone. The Club House has always been famous for their outdoor seating area on sunny days so it's no suprise that they are open! But again if you're not from Liverpool they sell sandwhiches, fancy cocktails and has a real beach vibe. This is bookings only. 

7. Smoke & Dough

Another L1 find, Smoke & Dough offer amazing BBQ style food and have a lovely outdoor seating area for you to enjoy. 

8. Brunch Club Liverpool

Did someone say brunch? Who doesn't love a good brunchin' spot. The Brunch Club have opened their outdoor seating are with a special offer every Monday - Thursday after 5pm, you can get a food board for 2 people at the for just £18 or £36 for a 4 person board! You can find the likes of Buffalo Chicken, Wild Mushroom & Dukkah Bruschetta, Baja Fish Taco and many more dishes. These guys are booking only. 

9. The Reader

The Reader at Calderstones Park welcomes their beautiful secret garden for outdoor dining. The menu offers homemade burgers, pizzas, pasta salads and snacks that are perfect for a spot of lunchtime fun! 

10. Kazimier Garden

Kazimier Garden on Seel Street is a must visit for those looking to enjoy the perfect summer atmosphere with cold pints and amazing music. It's a hidden gem. 

11. Pins

Pins rooftop is the perfect place to soak up your sorrows with a few drinks and laughs before you head back home. There’s lots of tables, party games and incredible pizza that can be ordered. 

12. Birdies

Birdies garden is the perfect tropical oasis that makes you feel like you are, well, not in the UK (if it's hot). Their cabanas are great for enjoying drinks and something to eat rain or shine! Make sure you book yours in advance so you don’t miss out.  

13. The Merchant

The Merchant on Slater Street has a great outdoor seating space for you to enjoy a drink in the sun. From their roadside benches and beer garden, DJs playing your favorite tunes all day long, it’s no wonder people gather here!

14. Roxy Ballroom

Another good choice is Roxy Ballroom - they are located on Rainford Square.

15. Goodness Gracious

If you're wanting spectacular views then opt for this rooftop paradise. Boasting views of Liverpool's famous Liver buildings, Goodness Gracious is a great choice for those wanting a drink sky-high! These guys are walk-ins only.
