How can we save orangutans?

So, what are DCTUK up to this Christmas? Well, apart from sledging and singing Christmas songs (keep an eye out for that golden video), we're planting rain forest trees in Sumatra!

We, as a team and a company, are trying to become more conscious of our environment and want to find ways to contribute to help save our planet. Which is why this month, we're going to support the Sumatran Orangutan Society and plant rain forest trees. For every order you place with us, we'll plant a tree in your name in the rain forest in Sumatra!

What's wrong with the Sumatran orangutan's habitat?

The Sumatran orangutan relies on forests, it's their home, but the forests of Sumatra are under immense and mounting threat. There are only around 14,600 orangutans remaining in the wild because their homes are being destroyed for products such as palm oil and timber.

What do the Sumatran Orangutan Society do?

So far the Sumatran Orangutan Society have rescued 160 orangutans, you can help this number go up with your shopping trolley! Within 7 days of placing your order, you’ll receive a link via email to the Sumartran Orangutan Society website where you can view your planted tree in your name.

Give the Sumatran orangutans a happier Christmas and a brighter future! Visit Sumatran Orangutan Society to find out more information and ways you can help.
